Edit the countertop first

A bathroom reads as calm the moment the counter is nearly empty. Keep three things out — hand soap, a small tray, one piece of greenery, and give everything else a home behind a door or in a drawer.

Half-used products are the quiet culprit. Consolidate duplicates, recycle the empties, and move backstock to a single labelled overflow bin in the linen closet.

Divide the vanity drawers

Acrylic drawer inserts turn a deep vanity drawer into defined zones: daily skincare, hair tools, makeup, first aid. Measure the interior depth before ordering as plumbing often steals more room than you expect.

Store items upright wherever possible. Brushes in a short cup and tubes standing in a shallow bin are far easier to scan than anything stacked flat.

Style the linen shelves

Roll or file-fold towels so the finished edge faces out, and keep one basket per shelf for the soft, unruly things — extra washcloths, travel kits, spare tissue.

Amber or frosted bottles, matching labels and a single repeating basket material are what make an ordinary closet photograph like a spa.
